In-spite of how he is exposed to the many dangers in the streets, it is the deadly disease of cancer that is finally his down-fall. Lewis Smith displays a tolerance for coping with the demands of the dangers that await him and the physical challenges that he must contend with each and every day. Finally with the challenge being met, cancer is victorious. Lewis Smith has lived a full and rewarding life but there is one challenge he cannot defeat, ‘Death’.
